Three-link seeding technology with the application of grain transfer trailers
Grain transfer trailers are applied in the process of seeding for the quick loading of seeders. The practice showed that when using grain transfer trailers, the average productivity growth for seed drills is 30%.
An operating link during three-link seeding comprises three machines: a seed drill – a grain transfer trailer– a lorry transporting seeds. Sometimes, when a distance “field-threshing floor” is less than 5 kilometers, the tractor with a trailer may be loaded with seeds and fertilizers directly at a warehouse.
The work scheme is as follows: a grain transfer trailer is loaded with seeds and fertilizers from a motor-vehicle, then a grain transfer trailer transloads them into a seed drill. The whole process of the seed drill loading is 6-8 minutes, while the traditional method occupies 40-50 minutes.
Advantages of three-link seeding technology:
1. Increasing the productivity of machinery work.
The productivity is increased due to the multiple acceleration of one of the key processes – loading into seeders and exclusion of machinery downtime, as well as the mitigation of the lack of coordination between vehicles and seed drills – should the vehicle not arrive in time, a grain transfer trailer shall have the grain reserve.
2. Maintaining the agricultural periods for a seeding campaign.
The increase of productivity automatically reduces the periods of seeding, and, accordingly, allows to maintain the recommended period.
3. Reducing the number of operations during seeding.
The use of Liliani GTT allows to treat seeds while loading them into a seeding machine. Such process is possible owing to structural aspects of a grain transfer trailer – two sections.
4. Increasing control over processes and their manageability.
A weighing system in grain transfer trailers allows to fix the weight of the shipped grain at the threshing floor, when the seeding material is delivered from a warehouse to the field by a grain transfer trailer, or compare data concerning the volume of grain shipped at a warehouse and the volume of grain delivered to the field.
5. Independence from weather conditions.
With its low-pressure tyres, a grain transfer trailer can drive on a wet soil thus minimizing the dependence from weather conditions. No need to wait until the soil is dry. The tent system shall preserve grain from moisture, if it rains suddenly during the seeding.
6. Reduction of investment and operational costs.
The use of a grain transfer trailer allows to cut the machinery fleet, and, thus, reduce investment and operational costs (investments diagram link).
